This little gem is a Grade 1 listed building and one of the island's most iconic images. Built around 1700, it last operated in 1913 but still has most of its original machinery intact. Climb to the top of the mill and find out how it once worked as you descend its four floors. Go inside and discover how the flour was ground by the milling stones. Climb the steps to the top where the old sail gears and machinery are kept

It's a Windmill. The wind would turn the sails which would power a machine inside the building. Generally, windmill were used for grinding corn to make flour.

It's in Bembridge not far from Ryde towards the east of the Island.
