Culver Down is managed by the National Trust and has enough going on to keep you busy for a good afternoon. From a circular walk to monuments, the beacon, the pub and the chalk cliffs, Culver Down is a stunning part of the Island and a must visit. The old fort was built in 1863 by Palmerston. At the end of the cliff is an old World War 2 anti-aircraft battery.
