The Island used to have 54 miles of railway most of which were closed in the 1960's. Luckily this working steam railway museum survives and takes regular trips between Smallbrook Junction to Havenstreet, Ashey and Wooton stations.

Trains run throughout the year- Daily from early-June to early October; on most days in late March, April and May; and on many days in October, November and December.

It's the original steam railway that used to run on the mainline between Ryde and Newport.
