A spectacular cliff-top fort built in 1862 with exhibitions and displays exploring how the fort was used from the days of Queen Victoria through to both World Wars. Now owned by the National Trust, the Battery boasts two original guns in the parade ground and a tunnel leading to to searchlight emplacement. There are trail sheets for the kids alongs with discovery packs and dressing-up clothes to try on.

It's an old fort near the cliff edge and the Needles lighthouse.
